THE ARENA RULES / 03

GAME & FAIR PLAY.

1. Ranked matchmaking

To queue for Ranked, connect a wallet, authenticate, complete a unique fighter profile, and have enough Energy. The server pairs two different available accounts and creates a private 1v1 room. Players cannot choose an opponent through the client, enter multiple queues or active matches at once, or begin until both are connected and ready. If no opponent is found or a player does not become ready, the attempt may be cancelled.

2. Match flow and results

Ranked is first to two round wins. The server validates player actions, advances match state, decides the winner or forfeit, and records completed results in the account database. Wins, losses, total matches, rating changes, match history, and applicable Energy usage come from that server result. Duplicate client result submissions do not count. A rematch starts only if both players request it and the applicable eligibility checks pass.

3. Disconnections and forfeits

A temporary connection loss does not immediately create a loss. The server allows a short reconnection window and can return you to the same active room. If you do not reconnect in time, or you deliberately choose Forfeit, the match may be recorded as a forfeit for the opponent. Connection quality and device problems remain your responsibility; report a suspected server error promptly so it can be reviewed.

4. Daily Energy

Each registered account has a maximum of 20 daily Energy. The backend resets the balance to 20—not 20 more—at 9:00 PM UTC+8, using server time. Ranked eligibility and deductions are checked by the backend. A zero-Energy account cannot start another Ranked match until reset. Reconnecting a wallet, changing device, or opening a new browser session does not add Energy. Practice does not consume Energy. The Energy cost per Ranked match is configured on the server and may be changed with notice.

5. Practice and training

Practice is against an AI opponent. It does not join online Ranked matchmaking, change Ranked stats, award a win, or consume Energy. The current game flow still asks you to connect Phantom before entering the game menu.

6. Leaderboard, weekly arena and referrals

Ranked results feed the rating, leaderboard and match history. The weekly arena is currently a registered, weekly Ranked-points ladder—not an elimination bracket. Its standings reset by week, and registration does not guarantee an opponent or prize. Referral codes may be entered once when a new fighter profile is created; self-referrals and manipulated accounts are not allowed. Referral, ladder and token rewards are disabled.

7. Fair-play standards

We may review anomalies and correct invalid standings or matches. Enforcement tools are evolving; a visible result is not a guarantee that cheating has been ruled out. To report an issue, email hello@chickpop.online with the match ID, approximate time, and a description. Do not send wallet secrets.

8. Updates and questions

Balance, queue, tournament, and anti-cheat rules can change as the game is polished. We will update this page before introducing materially different modes or rewards. Questions and reports can be sent to hello@chickpop.online.
